Why do we need cry buddies?

(A poem)

Picture it.

You’re drenched, wet because of the heavy rainfall you pass through on your way home from work.

You’re hearing loud thunderclaps as your watery sleeves slaps through the door. Few steps, you’re inside of your house.

It’s dark and alongside the loud noises from the rain, you fall, face flops on to the floor.

You’re hurt and you look around.

There’s no one.

It’s just you. Asking “did I just fall?”

“I didn’t make a sound”.

Then slowly—-

Slowly, you pick yourself up and then on a quick second your balance leaves the moment. And then you fall… now you’re hugging the ground. Feeling the cold surface and then you cry.

You cry and cry and cry until your face became as wet as your drenched clothes.

And then, you’re still alone.

And then you call on to the nothingness—-

“I just need a hug and a warm soup and someone to catch me in my slip ups”

I need a cry buddy.
