Film and Series Reviews

Most of us are being encourage to stay at home due to this ongoing pandemic. This then prompt us to explore different pass times like writing, reading, cooking and of course binge-watching. With more time at home, I was able to watch and discover different movies and series locally and internationally from different genre. This pandemic introduced me to the beautiful genre of BL or Boys Love. Sabi ko noon, ayokong manood ng mga ganitong uri ng serye. Ewan, parang hindi ko kasi trip. "Not my cup of tea" ika nga. Sinimulan ko isang araw sa isang serye, at hindi ko na namamalayan, mahigit dalawang dosenang kuwento na ang tinawanan, kinakiligan, kinainisan at iniyakan ko. Nakakatuwa lang na unti-unti, sa tulong ng mga ganitong istorya, nabubuksan ang isipan ng mga tao sa mas malawak pang kahulugan ng pagmamahal. Sa patuloy kong panonood nito, bukod sa sari-saring emosyon na nararamdaman ko, unti-unti I am discovering bits and pieces of myself.

Marami rin akong anime na napanood. Pero hindi tulad noong mga bata pa ako, mas malalim na ang pag-intindi ko sa daloy ng mga kuwento nito. I must say, my viewing experience grow from just being amazed by the colors and powers of different characters to appreciating their values, morals, principles, and goals.

I was also able to watch different series and movies that have long been trending. Thank you for my friends' recommendations though. Netflix and chill?

With what's happening, for me, it's "Netflix and peace". Peace for I am able to escape the harsh reality that we're all in. Peace for I am able to veer away from all the negative news that's being shoved in our throat every day. Oh well, in my case, not really :P I ate bad news for breakfast nga pala 😅 Hello! News production?

Anyway, since I'm already blogging, I'd like to also take this opportunity to share my reactions and opinions (and probably suggestions) from those series and films that really caught my attention.
